We are on a mission to elevate the message Burlesque Helps Mental Health.

In fact, a key reason we set up our festival in Ibiza is the close connection with the music Tones by Nova Novafrom Cafe Del Mar Volumen Tres, this song comforted our founder, Sapphira, in the depths of a psychotic episode nearly twenty years ago and it’s always felt that magical sense they talk about on the Island of ‘Ibiza calling you’ as to how we found ourselves creating this magical festival in 2017.

So now it is with great excitement we announce Sapphira’s, acceptance as a Social Prescribing Champion from the National Academy of Social Prescribing in the United Kingdom.

It was our best year yet.
We called this our honeymoon anniversary edition because it was 10 years ago the producers Sapphira & Tonestepa came to Ibiza for their honeymoon after a dramatic separation. They were reunited after their marriage ceremony here in Ibiza on honeymoon and set up the Ibiza Burlesque Festival Facebook page with the seed of an idea. 

Now it has grown over 8 years of becoming a true festival in every sense of the word.

Whether they’re charming or a bit mischievous, it’s your chance to shine.

Our sister company World Burlesque Academy launched the World Burlesque Day in 2020 and we’ve been ardent supporters every year.

The event takes place on the 26th of April each and to make 2024 every more memorable we joined 14 organisations to undertake setting the World’s Largest Online Burlesque Class.

We did it, we set the record at 155 people.

Best of all special guest, Erik Lee Preminger, the son of Gypsy Rose Lee was able to attend and join us live from Seattle.

We were honoured to join together with our Canadian festival partner, Kootenay Burlesque Festival who sponsored the World Record Attempt. 

The event was organised with co-hosts Soul On Fire Dance USA and Ellie Etoile’s Burlesque UK.

One to watch – DJ Exposure shares summer vibes from Portugal!

Label boss and DJ/producer DJ Exposure is back with a fresh mix of drum n bass that’s sure to light up the summer as the evenings get lighter, too.

Having abandoned the cold shores of Blighty for a sunnier climate has definitely impacted the sounds on this mix which starts off with a melodic and soulful singer and as the mix evolves the pace and rhythm intensify warming up the feet as they start tapping and shaking the winter blues away.

Our favourite tune on this mix arrives about 23 minutes when the forthcoming single glides in, darker to start but equally saccharine sweet the epic White Lies with Mylo Fane ft Lottie Jones is sure to be dancefloor filler and BBQ essential in equal measure.

“A few released tunes but a lot of forthcoming or unreleased tracks (from his label AR Records). Just over an hour of liquid, jungle, neurofunk, dancefloor and some deeper stuff. I decided to cut a lot of footage from my drone from places I’ve been in Portugal, thanks to all the people that have helped me to call this place home for the last couple of years. Enjoy!”

We agree with him that sunnier climates are the way forward, we chose Ibiza and we think Ericera looks equally blissful.
