For as long as I remember myself, all I wanted to do was dance, dress up and perform in front of a live audience. I spent 7 years as a soloist in a Russian folk dance ensemble, travelling the world, but had to abandon this dream in order to become a “proper adult” and get a normal job. I finished university as a film director. But I didn’t stay a proper adult for long. I started calling my kinky self Blanche in 2017, when I discovered burlesque due to my muse and my teacher Anja Pavlova. I’m a big fan of Tennessee Williams’ “Streetcar named Desire” and so my stage name is after Blanche Dubois. For right now I am a newbie to burlesque world, but I’m already have funs in Moscow, after becoming a resident of “Ladies of Burlesque” show.

It was fun visiting the Dublin Tattoo Convention last week in Ireland. The Ibiza Burlesque Festival team, complete in our Vivien of Holloway outfits had a busy day promoting, handing out flyers and judging the Miss Pinup Ireland competition. Thanks to to Louise Rio Wild for having us and to Luciana Cristea for joining the Sapphira’s Showgirls promotional team for the day. You could say everyone wanted to play with our… (beach) balls!
