Thank you for our successful 2023 festival

We have completed the most amazing seventh Ibiza Burlesque Festival 2023.

So here’s a huge thank you post.

Where can we begin to thank all who contributed to the magic of the BEST ever Ibiza Burlesque Festival?
 
We run this thing on passion and out of suitcase every year but we know we pull off a truly world-class show and no-one would ever know!

Thanks Marc Durif, Eurostar and Cafe Del Mar. You helped to complete a mental health recovery circle as Sapphira was comforted by the song Tones in the year 2000 during her breakdown and it’s amazing years later to have connected with Marc via a Eurostar journey from London to Paris.
 

Thank you to Aperture Terrace who are so accommodating. It’s incredible having their support.

Thanks to our long-standing Ibiza volunteers and crew, Curvy Curry, Eddie Ibiza, Renata Kverh and Eduardo Ibiza Producciones.

We’ve won an award!

Well done to our founder, Priscilla Silcock (Sapphira) for being recognised by the CEO Monthly CEO Awards as the Ibiza Burlesque Festival enters the 7th year.

The Most Influential CEO victors for 2023 are handpicked by CEO Monthly Magazine and are based purely on comprehensive analysis and research undertaken by the wider group.

Lio London – Why We Love It

It was a pleasure for the Ibiza Burlesque Festival producers Sapphira & Tonestepa to be invited to the industry opening of Lio London.

The Ibizan heavyweights of high-end glitz and glamour have made it to Leicester Square in London’s capital.

They opened officially on Saturday 17th March and will be spicing up the nightlife in all the right ways!

It is said you haven’t been to Ibiza if you haven’t been to Lio and now the high-octane exhilarating performance energy is on the doorstep for Londoners.

Sapphira came to London from Australia seeking the kind of show production that would set hearts racing. Instead, she found herself drawn to Ibiza after a jaunt in 2006 whisked her to Pacha, Space, Bora Bora and DC10.

She was so inspired she began plotting a Burlesque in Ibiza project and later set up the Ibiza Burlesque Festival because of the unrivalled show production and boundary-defying edginess on the island.

Lio has been inspirational since Sapphira & Tonestepa first saw the show at the waterfront Marina Botafoch location and now the excellence continues in London’s capital.

Best of all, the company, owned by Pacha Group, has revived and enhanced the iconic space of Cafe De Paris to which all Londoner’s owe them a debt of gratitude.

This exceptional theatre and cabaret space has entertained generations of Londoners for over a century (even being known as a haunt for Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner and Noel Coward) and it sadly had to close in the pandemic like many other landmark locations.

Thanks to Lio London, the magic of Cafe De Paris lives on and not only is the beautiful interior renovation true to the legacy we know and love, it’s magically enhanced and improved.

Boost Your Burlesque Strategy – The Engine of World Burlesque Academy

Behind the Ibiza Burlesque Festival is the production company known as Sapphira’s Showtime with a motive to elevate, expand and, where needed, improve the professionalism of the burlesque industry.

We love burlesque and believe it is so life-changing that we started teaching classes with our company in London over 12 years ago and we have never looked back.

Sapphira’s Showtime is now proud to have worked with over 500 performers, contracted dance instructors and professionals worldwide along with producing some 200 events, one of them a successful Record Setter World Record Attempt for the Fastest Burlesque Glove Peel Relay.

In all this time of teaching and creating events, we have dealt with a huge scope of people linked to burlesque.

This programme is a coaching programme facilitated by festival director, Sapphira.

It has expanded beyond the Ibiza Burlesque Festival because we have found performers all over the world contacting us to be part of it.

It has focus modules delivered as self-study elements on the World Burlesque Academy App, as well as live Zoom tutorials to learn together.

So far we have:

– 52 graduates
– major press features in TV, print and radio for artists in Poland, Finland, Sweden, USA, UK & South Africa

Where can I get tickets?

We are so excited to see you attending our events, please only buy tickets from our vetted and trusted ticketing partner,  Skiddle.

Will there be a burlesque show at both 7pm (Aperture Terrace ) and 11pm (Ibiza Rocks Bar)?

 You will only see burlesque performances at the 7pm Aperture Terrace shows, not at 11pm at Ibiza Rocks Bar. The 11pm show is just an after party for dancing to the best music. Dress up for our events because we will be giving out prizes for best dressed at random!

Can I book a table and seats?

No, the Ibiza Burlesque Festival is unique because we offer pool parties and nightclub shows. Our events are not seated in theatres so there is very little seating. Whatever seating is there is available as first in best dressed. If you have require special assistance due to mobility aids or injury, please know your comfort is our priority but please contact us ahead of time to give us information about how we can look after you and we will do this with utmost care. All our venues are wheelchair accessible. Please email [email protected]

Is there a dress code?

Yes we require smart casual attire but fancy dress or burlesque dress is encouraged. Get creative think Vintage Hawaiian, Tropical Shirts and Dresses, 1950s, Flapper or Great Gatsby.Please dress up for our events because we will be giving out prizes for best dressed at random!

How can I get the best view?

It is so important to us that you get to see our show and have a good view of the performances. We will be directing the audience to make sure people are mindful of making room poolside and we position our artists in different places so you can see. Just arrive early and follow our MC who will be getting everyone in participation.

Are the venues wheelchair accessible?

Yes.
